About the project:

Bose is a premium provider of audio hardware and software, renowned for its high-quality audio experiences enabled by DSP algorithms. Bose's systems are meticulously designed to optimize audio performance, covering various applications such as music, telephony audio, and noise reduction features. Traditionally, Bose's audio systems involve a combination of hardware components such as amplifiers with built-in DSP. We are looking for engineers experienced in embedded development to take part in building cutting-edge audio software.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage real-time audio/video processing pipelines.

• Work with DSPs to ensure seamless operation.

• Analyze and debug audio defects to ensure high-quality output.

• Understand and manage underlying transport protocols (I2C, I2S, SPI).

• Work on real-time audio flow, buffering, and latency implications.

• Understand and address the MIPS implications on audio subsystems.

• Debug blocks in the audio chain to identify and root cause audio artifacts.

• Configuration and management of LC3 Decoder and related settings.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with real-time signal processing (audio/video/DSP).

• Experience in embedded development in C/C++

• Solid expertise in managing DSPs in a real-time environment.

• Notable experience with the LC3 Decoder.

• Strong analytical skills to understand and resolve audio defects.

• In-depth knowledge of I2C, I2S, and SPI transport protocols.

• Experience with audio subsystems, real-time audio flow, and audio latency management.

• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Familiarity with debugging and optimizing audio processing chains.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with high-quality audio systems.

• Familiarity with modern connected capabilities and software advancements.
