An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Liaison Assistant to join our Urgent Community Hub within the division of Therapies, Dietetics and Community Services. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual. Main duties of the job
You will provide efficient support to our Urgent Community Hub. As a Service Liaison Assistant you will work alongside our Nursing/Triage Team and colleagues to ensure that calls taken promptly and take essential details about patients conditions, location and logging the information accurately on our system. You will act as a main point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the Urgent Community Hub, ensuring all queries are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous, caring and professional manner. It will be essential that you are able to work using your own initiative compatible with the role, work well with others, have patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations and that you maintain confidentiality at all times. You will be required to carry out all duties in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to both patients and our department. Having recent experience of working within a busy office environment, ideally within the NHS is required. You should have a good command of English and have a good working knowledge of Word and Excel. You should have experience in Electronic Patient Record. Medical terminology would be an advantage, and good inter-personal skills and an ability to prioritise your workload are required.
