      Job summary

      The Surgical Oncology Directorate at Guy's and St Thomas' NSH Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and Service Manager for ENT.

      The SM holds responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of services to patients in accordance with agreed access standards, objectives, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.

      The SM will also be responsible for delivering delegated improvements within a service to meet patient expectations as well as ensure the required capacity to meet key clinical performance targets.

      Main duties of the job

      The role will hold key relationships with stakeholders across the multi-disciplinary team. These include, but are not limited to:

      General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Matron, Assistant Service Manager, Consultants and Junior Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Allied Health Professionals, Administrative and Clerical Support Staff, Healthcare Scientists.

      • Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
      • Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development.

      Previous experience

      • Evidence of managing successful project and / or operational performance and improvement; including the development and monitoring of output and outcome measures.
      • Operational experience in managing specific services including design, development, implementation and management of change in a multi-professional environment.
