      Job Description

      Position Purpose

      The Shift Lead is responsible for assisting the Site Leadership in managing total site operations for an assigned shift and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality and cost. Leverages functional knowledge of forklift, pallet repair and/or sort operations, and quality control. Assists with directing the work of the forklift, sort, repair and shipping and receiving functional teams across the production floor.

      **Second shift hours are 3p-1130p**

      • Assists with monitoring production KPIs, day-to-day operations, and shipping schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods.

      • Provide hands-on peer leadership to production staff within assigned area(s), providing direction when needed, troubleshooting, delegating, and monitoring activities.

      • Support plant administration to ensure compliance to established policies and procedures.

      • Enforces policies and procedures to drive inventory accuracy.

      • Enters production data and safety information as needed.

      Major/Key Accountabilities

      • Lead the daily production within the service center to include training new employees and leading the team with a sense of urgency

      • Oversee a staff of 8-12 full time or temp employees

      • Ensure that quality, safety, food safety and process SOP’s are being followed


      Measures

      • Lead the production team and meet productivity expectations

      • Record daily ATP, Tritations, Fulcrum quality testing & Check Lists


      Authority/ Decision Making

      • Ensure compliance with all SOP’s encompassing safety, quality, food safety and production

      • Will act as manager when the service center manager is absent

      • Research inventory and scanning discrepancies

      • Assist with Shipping & Receiving paperwork issues

      Qualifications

      Essential Qualifications

      • 1-3+ years supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting

      • 1-3+ years experience in a warehouse setting

      • Forklift experience


      Desirable Qualifications

      • OSHA certification

      • CPR / First aid training

      • Microsoft Office

      • SAP/ESP

      Experience

      • Relevant experience as a people manager (for example directing the activities of front-line personnel)

      • 1-3+ years of experience in highly productive manufacturing or food production environments
