      Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Shop Parts Coordinator position available at our San Antonio, Texas location. The Shop Parts Coordinator is responsible for ordering new parts, staging parts, inspecting parts, and returning parts/cores in support of the Service Department. This position will also be responsible for completing inventory functions and cleanliness of the parts warehouse. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, day shift 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

      Essential Functions:

      • Ensure that appropriate parts are available and ordered as necessary for the service department
      • Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness of warehouse
      • Process credits as needed
      • Assist the parts counter and will call customers
      • Deliver parts as needed to job sites and customer locations
      • Perform parts inventory functions up to, but not limited to; daily bin and cycle counts, putting up stock orders, receiving and acknowledging parts back orders, and pick/pack/shipment of all parts orders
      • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
      • Assumes turn-in after-hour call-out rotation to assist customers in after-hour call-out needs. To be measured by adherence to set schedule and call out report provided to management by the answering service, and customer feedback.
      • Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs to include on-call rotation.
      • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
      • Performs other duties as assigned

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software such as Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
      • Planning and organizing skills to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; plan for additional resources

      Education and Experience:

      • High school diploma or equivalent required
      • No experience necessary
      • A valid Driver's License required

      Physical Requirements:

      • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
      • A significant amount of time standing, walking
      • Minimal amount of time kneeling, crouching, stooping, climbing, crawling, balancing and reaching
      • Constant movement and use of hands, this position requires good manual dexterity
      • Communicate with customers, service managers, and co-workers
      • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
      • Occasionally lifts and moves materials and equipment up to 65 lb.
      • Ascends/descends with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both hands and feet and climbs up and down ladders and/or equipment
