Employer is seeking highly motivated Short Term Disability Claims Specialists to join our growing claims organization. As a Short Term Disability Claims Specialist, you will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make timely claim determinations. What you'll be doing:

- Communicating with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information for Short Term Disability claims.
- Collaborating with case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to make appropriate and timely claim determinations.
- Reviewing complex medical records and utilizing various tools and resources to understand approval durations and plan future actions.
- Completing accurate financial calculations in accordance with company and state guidelines.
- Providing exceptional customer service and identifying customer needs and opportunities.

What we're looking for:

Must haves:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of experience in claims, leaves, or customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multitask.

Nice to haves:
- Experience with disability and/or absence management.
- Strong mathematical skills for payment calculations.

Level: N3-1
Pay Range: $22.17 - $28.01
