Are you looking for an opportunity to lead the Manufacturing, Science and Technology Organization of a multi-national company where you will develop business growth aligned with category strategies while establishing strong partnerships with Commercial, Strategy and Planning teams? As MSAT Director you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the product lifecycle focusing on performance, delivery, capability, behavior, and talent management to meet business goals. You will also build technical capabilities to improve efficiencies across the team.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include the following:
· Responsible for technical product and process maintenance for a complex product portfolio including respiratory and oral solid dose dosage forms.
· Deliver process capability improvements to product portfolio that contribute to supply chain goals.
· Own the core technical business processes for site and utilize the principles of the GSK Production System
· Accountable for technical capability of site Platform Experts and Product Family Owners, ensuring increased skill base and technical mastery to build and improve the technical capability of the supply chain.
· Accountable for the delivery of the project portfolio across the business through an active program management system
· Lead the technical project activity across the supply chain to translate strategy to operational plans.
· Develop working practices to increase efficiency and improve the cost base whilst encouraging staff development.
· Ensure competencies of staff through training, personal development, and supervision
· Deliver against the business plan, developing the strategic direction and vision for the supply chain as an active member of the leadership team.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
· Leadership experience, including leading technical teams and delivering technical manufacturing solutions.
· 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
· Master’s degree/PhD or equivalent in appropriate scientific or engineering discipline (consult manager on equivalent scientific or engineering disciple)
· Ability to enable and driving change, delivering solutions, developing people, and building relationships across multiple interfaces in a matrix environment.
· Excellent organizational, project management skills on major technical and/or capital projects
· Thorough knowledge of good manufacturing practices and regulatory requirements
· Ability to use and interpret data to drive decision making at both tactical and strategic level.
· Understanding of quality by design and risk management approaches
· Understanding of pharmaceutical/product development
· Knowledge of manufacturing unit operations and plant/laboratory equipment
· Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels in the organization.
· 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical industry
About the Zebulon Site
GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America. The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.
