- Lead PowerCo SE’s Security Team for St. Thomas, ensuring secure site development and operations from ground-up construction to daily factory activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Safety, and Fire Protection, etc. to develop and implement a cohesive, St Thomas centric security strategy aligned with global security standards.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and conduct comprehensive training programs to ensure adherence to global security standards.
- Recruit and develop internal and external high-performance security personnel, aligning them with the vision and values of Global Security Operations
- Guide and oversee the security service supplier, ensuring that security controls meet PowerCo SE’s standards.
- Conduct risk assessments in partnership with stakeholders, addressing vulnerabilities and shaping robust security measures.
- Adapt, implement, and oversee local standards, processes and working instructions according to global requirements and conduct regular audits/controls to protect employees, assets, and sensitive information, ensuring compliance with global standards and PowerCo SE’s internal protocols.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for incident response, leading planning, and execution, while managing loss mitigation and physical security considerations
- Ensure local access management procedures including card service according to standards.
- Direct investigations into security incidents, liaise with HR and Compliance to recommend corrective action and conduct interviews when appropriate.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local law enforcement and emergency services for swift incident response.
- Oversee crisis management procedures in coordination with local management and the Central Corporate Security team.
- Remain in close collaboration with Corporate Security
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years in a strategic, security focused position in areas such as Military, Police, Intelligence, or Private Corporate Security within moderate to high-risk industries
- 2+ years of people management experience, with a track record of motivating team members, methodological competence, and handling security incidents
- Highly effective at organizing and managing time and resources, with an ability to operate cross-functionally (vertically and horizontally) and multi-task effectively in a high-demand, rapidly shifting, fluid environment.
- Intuitive understanding of complex industry dynamics and multiple business functions
- Skills in crisis management and fostering a positive security culture are essential along with strong knowledge of physical and information security principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with various internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies
- Interviewing and Interrogation experience beneficial such as Wicklander and Zulawski, LPQ, CPP, LPC, CFI or other certifications is a plus
- Ability to adapt to both team and individual working environments.
- 2+ years data collection experience with root cause analysis
- Occasional travel to Ajax, ON as needed during ramp-up, and occasional international travel to HQ in Germany (total travel up to ~20%)
- Ability to reach site location within 30 minutes when working remotely
- Ability to maintain flexible work hours to account for time zone differences with Europe, when necessary
- Overtime may be required to meet ramp-up deadlines.

Reporting temporarily to the interim CFO, the Site Security Manager is responsible for establishing a local best-in-class security framework in St. Thomas. This position is crucial for overseeing and leading the security operations from the initial construction phases of PowerCo SE’s site in St. Thomas to managing the security organization of the factory.
This is a flex hybrid model requiring up to 3 days per week onsite, with the ability to reach the site location within 30 minutes if necessary while working remotely.
