      Note: This position will be Remote.
      • Must live a minimum of 1 hour from the office (Birmingham, AL, 35243).
      • Approximately 2 weeks in the office to onboard and learn the team and processes prior to remote work.
      • Required PPE: Hardhat Safety Glasses Safety Vest.
      • This position required travel 25% of the time.

      Job Description:
      • The Sitework Engineer 3 position requires 7-10 years of related experience with site work/grading design.

      Job Responsibilities:
      • Providing Sitework engineering services and field support, preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs, developing cost estimates and material take-offs, maintain a safe work environment for yourself while also considering safety in the designs they are involved with.
      • Efficiently transition between multiple projects and applying technical writing and Office suite skills daily.
      • Skillsets and expertise required for this position include knowledge of environmental regulations such as ADEM and MDEQ.
      • Ability to perform earth work calculations and construction material take-offs, and cost estimates.
      • Ability to coordinate with others in the production design documents.
      • Ability to provide oversight for permitting requirements (municipal, ALDOT, environmental, etc...) where necessary.
      • Extensive knowledge or certification of erosion and sediment control measures.
      • Perform hydrology calculations, balance a site and knowledge of retention pond design
      • Proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D for Civil Sitework Design, previous Sitework construction experience required. Ex: Grading work must display good technical writing skills, Office suite proficiency, and the ability to build effective relationships with Grading Construction. Design engineering team and customers.
      • Approximately 2 weeks in the office to onboard and learn the team and processes, then remote work. Must live a minimum of 1 hour from the office.

      Education:
      • An accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
