      Sleep Services Clinician (Registered Nurse) Summary: VGM Compliance Services is a division of VGM Group and an industry leader in outsourced services - such as education, virtual in-service, and compliance - and looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team as a Sleep Services Clinician. In this role, the RN will be responsible for coordinating education, set-up and compliance monitoring of sleep and respiratory patients. Experience working in an intensive or progressive care unit is required. The role requires direct communication with patients to educate, inform and coach those patients on the use of their prescribed devices. The RN will use live, calls, text, email and cloud-based monitoring to determine whether the patient is successful using their prescribed product. Being fluent in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

      Working Location: Waterloo, Iowa (on-site/hybrid)

      Hours: Full-Time, 7am-5pm CST Monday-Friday

      Registered Nurse Responsibilities as a Sleep Services Clinician:

      • Coach patients on the importance of using their prescribed devices
      • Educate patients on OSA and the potential consequences of untreated OSA
      • Answer calls from referral sources in a timely and professionally manner, and secure referral orders by telephone, fax, and electronic means in a call center environment
      • Coordinate the delivery of medical equipment and other healthcare services, including contacting the patient, provider, or on-line tracking system to confirm items were delivered and/or services rendered
      • Ensure patients receive a high standard of service delivery and care through a series of follow-up quality questions to ensure company quality standards are being met
      • Communicate with internal and external parties to keep them informed of order status, including outlying situations that could affect the referral
      • Collect and enter accurate and detailed patient and provider information into the compliance platform on a real-time basis
      • Answer questions from patients, providers, and company staff
      • Identify and resolve service issues and complaints
      • Remain up to date on knowledge of company policy and procedures and regulatory, contractual, and accreditation requirements
      • Review orders to ensure they are setup with accurate coding, quantity, and pricing
      • Available for after hours on-call coverage
      • Follow strict confidentiality and HIPAA privacy and security guidelines
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      Registered Nurse Qualifications as a Sleep Services Clinician:

      • Valid Multiple State Registered Nurse Compact license
      • Experience working in intensive care unit (ICU), progressive care unit (PCU), or neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) required
      • Experience working with CPAPs and BiPAPs required
      • Experience with providing high quality customer service to patients, especially respiratory patients
      • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (reading, writing, and speaking)
      • Flexible with the ability to routinely adapt to change
      • Ability to work in multiple software systems at a time
      • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with others of varying backgrounds
      • Set a positive example through personal attendance and time management
      • Demonstrate appropriate verbal and written communication skills with clients and coworkers
      • Work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve business goals and growth opportunities
      • Flexible in scheduling as one weekend a month may be required

      Physical Requirements

      • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
      • Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 to 10 hours
      • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
      • Strict adherence to all physical safety standards
