- Set up and operate slitting machines to cut plastic film into specified sizes and shapes.
- Change out patterns and adjust machine settings as required.
- Lift cores into the machine and ensure proper alignment.
- Monitor the slitting process to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Roll slit plastic film onto rolls ranging from 2 inches thick to 24 feet long.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on slitting machines.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Experience in operating slitting machines, preferably with delicate plastics.
- Ability to lift and handle cores and rolls of various sizes.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Experience with machine operation, assembly, data entry, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of plastics extrusion, food production, and packaging.
- Ability to perform labelling, computer operation, and stacking.
Job Title: Slitter Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Slitter Operator to join our team, focusing on slitting plastic film into specified sizes and shapes based on customer orders. The operator will be responsible for setting up the machine, changing out patterns, and lifting cores into the machine. The primary slitter will work the 223 night shift, while the secondary slitter will work the 223 swing shift.

Work Environment
The work environment involves working night shifts (223) or swing shifts (223). The role may be physically demanding and requires handling and lifting heavy cores and rolls. An intense training process is provided to ensure that all operators are well-prepared for their responsibilities.

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $43000.00/yr.
