SMT Operator

SMT Programmer Job description
Understand the startup, set-up, operation, teardown, and shutdown SMT
machines (Printer, SPI, Pick and Place).
Communicate with SMT Process Engineer and leadership to resolve machine
and process related issues.
Analyze SPC data to contribute to identifying and resolving systemic process and
performance issues.
Read and correctly interpret printed circuit board documentation.
Assist with troubleshooting SMT line when needed.
Use microscope, calipers, or other hand tools to troubleshoot issues from
manufactured PCBAs.
Promptly and accurately complete all forms, reports, or documentation required.
Programming of various equipment: SMT Pick & Place, Printer, Jet Printer, SPI,
AOI
Manage and update component libraries.
Work with SMT operators and QC technicians during FAI to debug programs,
including screen printer, Jet printer, paste inspect, SMT placement.
Co-ordinate with Production Manager on daily basis to execute job optimization
for optimal machine programming sequences for maximum efficiency.
Act as a technical resource for daily manufacturing execution by promptly
responding to line-machine requests, providing solutions, or engaging external
resources for additional support.
Actively participate in associated new projects and New Product Introduction
Notify Engineering team and product development of issues by reviewing Gerber
files for silk screen errors, polarity issues, mismatched package to land patterns,
and more.
Exceptional communication skills to technical and non-technical parties.
Urgency in escalating and tracking problems to minimize the impact to our
