      Job Description

      The Digital Content Department oversees all owned Team channels (social, web, app) across all major league and development sports Teams. Working alongside our Brand team, the digital team leads the social voice of our Teams, speaking to millions every day. We strive to deliver content with a purpose, formatted for each channel, and continually optimized. We seek opportunities to grow our fan base and find new and innovative ways to distribute our content.

      The Social Content Coordinator role reports directly to the Digital Content Strategy Manager and is passionate about delivering timely content to fans and telling our team stories across social media. MLSE is looking to fill one role at this time, this role will work 32 hours a week, comprising of four 8-hour shifts. These shifts may involve evenings and weekends. The roles will work across the hockey, basketball, soccer, and football.

      The Social Content Coordinator will be writing, scheduling, publishing, and distributing content regularly on behalf of the team as well as directly interacting with our ever-growing fan base. This position will be responsible for ensuring many of our business needs are published on time from our team channels. The right candidate lives and breathes the social media best practices, knowing specs, algorithms, and optimization.

      Responsibilities

      • Manage and publish across multiple team accounts including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
      • Manage the social media content calendar across multiple brands
      • Social copywriting for brand and partnership content being published from our team accounts, with the ability to write in multiple brand voices
      • Intaking assets to be published across our team accounts and ensuring quality control is in place
      • Detailed understanding of social media specs and communicating those best practices to relevant stakeholders and holding yourself accountable to the same specs when conducting quality control
      • Comfortable in the backend of a CMS for light website management
      • Opportunity to grow into managing game day publishing for development teams

      Qualifications

      • Proven experience managing and publishing for a social media branded account
      • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage a social media content calendar
      • Proficient in Social Media Publishing Tools such as Facebook Business Manager, Creator Studio, Social Bakers, Twitter and TikTok
      • Ability to perform well under pressure and lead a large team through Team and brand moments throughout the season
      • Strong sense of discretion, confidentiality, and tact at all times.
      • Self-directed and able to work independently, while also flourishing in a fast-paced collaborative team environment
