Job Description

- Supports the implementation of marketing & communications content strategy
- Brainstorming content ideas relating to PHS’s impact and programming
- Creates content (photo, video, written, graphics) to be shared across PHS social media platforms
- Assists with on-site photo and video shoots, as needed
- Assist s with reporting social analytics , as needed
- Assists with i nfluencer research and management
- C aptures content at signature PHS events (including but not limited to the Flower Show)
- Monitors PHS social media accounts and other digital properties: Facebook , Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X , LinkedIn , Google Business
- Excellent writing and communication skills are required
- M ajor in advertising , media production , or a related field
- Must be creative, organized, and have great attention to detail
- Experience in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) preferred
- Experience in Canva required
- Interest in and experience creating short-form video is required
- Interest in horticulture is a plus , but not required
- Must be able to endure extended periods of walking and/or standing
- Must be comfortable walking in and around gardens for periods of time

PHS works on community greening in more than 250 neighborhoods throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. PHS holds the Philadelphia Flower Show annually in March, the nation’s largest and oldest event of its kind.
Position Summary:PHS is seeking a part-time intern to work closely with the Social Media Manager. The internship will run from mid- Ma y – mid- August , with the potential to extend into the next semester . The intern must be available 20- 24 hours a week. This position will receive a stipend of $1,500. College credit is also available.
The S ocial M edia I ntern will work on creative content ideas , writing for media, video production, photography, research, and monitoring of PHS social media accounts.
This position will assist in executing a marketing and communications strategy that leverages the mission and values of PHS, The 202 4 Philadelphia Flower Show, the PHS Pop Up Gardens, and PHS Meadowbrook Farm.
