RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides counseling and technical assistance to clients and families receiving childcare services; provides case management for families and assists in the development, coordination and maintenance of the child care program. Knowledge of childcare resources and regulations preferred. Liaison for Child Welfare as well as childcare providers

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Working knowledge of basic social work principles, techniques, and practices and their application to specific casework, group work, and community problems.
• Knowledge of governmental and private organizations and resources in the community.
• Some knowledge of behavioral and socioeconomic problems and their treatment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of caseload and their families, and with childcare providers and various community relationships.
• Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to plan and execute work.
• Work closely with Child Welfare populations and childcare provider community.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution; Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL DRIVING REQUIREMENT - Candidate must have valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.

PREFERRED:

Knowledge of childcare resources and regulations preferred.
