Title: Software Developer
Location: Remote- PST hours
Duration: 12 Month Initial Contract
Compensation: $80-88/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Software Developer Responsibilities: - We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to port a Groovy/Grails bidding application to Vue.js. This role will work with the IS Principal Software Engineer and other members of the Information Systems team.
- Write Vue.js components to replace existing Grails views
- Write Django mutations to update data from Vue application
- Write tests for new components, resolve any bugs
- Ensure code is developed, deployed, documented and maintained in keeping with IS guidelines
- Attend regular check ins with IS Business Software team
Skillset / Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree
- 5+ years experience in professional software development
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills
- Full stack web development experience
- Expertise in Javascript/Typescript and experience with Vue.js
- Fluency in Python and familiarity with Django
- Proficient in SQL and GraphQL, experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Proficient in Linux and Docker
- Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ
- Experience with testing tools, especially Playwright
