      AGCO is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our global diagnostic tool development team in Hesston, KS. You can look forward to our strong team spirit and plenty of freedom for your own ideas.

      The Software Engineer will focus in the diagnostic area on the varied, holistic treatment of all vehicle functions of our products. We work with innovative diagnostic solutions based on industrial standards, which are also used in the automotive sector. Our goal is to be able to offer our service contract partners high-quality service solutions so that they can guarantee our customers the best and fastest possible vehicle availability.

      The Software Engineer will play a key part in the development and maintenance of the diagnostic tool applications used for the fleet of agricultural equipment AGCO produces worldwide. Functions of the software include electronics systems health management, diagnostic trouble code analysis, and firmware management. The Software Engineer will work as part of a globally distributed agile team on project initiatives and implementation.

      What You Will Do:

      • Create concepts and specifications for programming and diagnostic tools (software and hardware components) in mobile machines.
      • Develop and test structured/object-oriented software in C/C++/C#/Python.
      • Program software for vehicle service tools.
      • Coordinate and support development partners and suppliers for software and hardware
      • Create software documentation (e.g. according to ISO 25119).
      • Adhere to AGCO’s quality standards by performing responsibilities in compliance with Change Management, Project Management Policies, and Guidelines and Procedures.

      What You Will Bring:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer Engineering, electrical engineering, or related engineering discipline
      • Good knowledge of software development with C/C++/C#/Python

      A plus if you have:

      • Knowledge of diagnostic standards ODX/OTX
      • Guideline competence for the development of software and hardware components for mobile machines
      • Good communication skills, commitment, and the ability to work in a team
      • Knowledge of spoken and written German a plus

      Travel:

      10-20% Domestically and may include international travel.
