Excelling in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues by leveraging strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Currently enrolled in computer science, computer engineering, or related degree program, with a strong academic record and a passion for technology
Actively engaged in projects or personal coding endeavors outside of the academic coursework
Eager to gain practical experience in software development and payment systems
Possess strong problem solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented principals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Adapt at picking up new technology
Ability to learn and work both in groups and independently
Good communication skills
Proficiency in at least one programming language like Java or Python
Experience working with Databases (e.g. Oracle, Azure, RDBMS, MongoDB)
Familiarity with software design patterns
Previous co-op or project experience in software development
Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in software development

This is unique opportunity to join the Interac e-Transfer development team at Interac. You will join as our software developer intern which will contribute to the building and maintenance of the e-Transfer application. You can expect to gain valuable hands-on experience in payment systems, and learn about the intricacies involved in developing applications that can operate seamlessly at our volume.
As part of the team, you'll be collaborating with experienced developers, gaining insight into best practices, industry standards, and innovative technologies used in the development process. This will be a chance to work on real-world projects, applying your skills to solve challenges and contribute to the enhancement of the Interac e-Transfer platform.
