      Job Duties & Responsibilities

      • Provides support to end-users for various applications within the STIHL environment, such as Service, B2X, OSHA, and EDI applications. Evaluates business requirements and recommends IT solutions consistent with short and long-term strategies and changing business processes to improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency. Analyzes IS and business processes, documents technical specifications and maintains documentation.
      • Develops business systems, application requirements and specifications according to business requirements.
      • Monitors system performance, performs problem determination and implements changes accordingly.
      • Interfaces with external consultants in support of business systems and applications.
      • Supports company policies and procedures and ensure adherence to STIHL Inc. computer and security policies.
      • Maintains currency with respect to technical and professional skills by attending training classes and seminars as needed.

      Specifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in an IS related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • 3 yrs of experience in supporting sw dev. life cycle and methodologies for enterprise appl., 3 yrs of hands-on experience with relational databases, programming, dev.
      • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft sw skills, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,Visio.
      • Experience with one Object Oriented Language, such as C# or Java
      • Knowledge of Agile Dev. and Unit Testing, client server appl. and web dev. technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Experience with middleware appl. or data integrations a plus.
      • Travel up t0 25%
