      Quality Assurance Lead

      The QA Lead will bring a testing mindset to the team with their strategic leadership. They will lead a team of testers, that are making sure both software changes in various databases and different data reports are accurate, while continuously focusing on process optimization and automation.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Set and track strategic technology outcomes aligned to a test and automation strategy, test plans, test cases, defining and managing test processes for quality control of data and quality assurance of software changes
        • Quality control of data includes validating findings in different reports
        • Quality assurance of software changes includes validating that code that has been deployed is working as intended - including test data generation, defect management and reporting
      • Drives the design and implementation of data testing automation through thought leadership on how current manual validation processes can be automated
      • Across all work, establish target outcomes through objectives and key results.
      • Work with various stakeholders and ensure buy in
      • Condition and generate test data in compliance with test data requirements. Manage sensitive test data.
      • Demo functionality to UAT testers, user community and external stakeholders
      • Support audit and regulatory matters, as needed

      Required Skills

      • Strong leadership skills with prior experience in creating testing strategies for both data and software
      • Has advanced experience with data technologies and led the development of data system.
      • 6+ years of experience in Functional software testing
      • 2+ years of experience in any of Test Automation tools
      • Understanding and experience in data testing/validation. Advanced skills in SQL, data extraction, manipulation using excel functions
      • Collaborate with Product owner, scrum master, development, system and release management teams to certify and promote code to higher level environments
      • Experience in test execution, Defect management, Test progress reporting and escalation of issues and risks
      • Experience in Agile methodology and Jira
      • Experience in test planning one or more applications that span across multiple stakeholders
      • Excellent written & verbal communication, ability to multitask, work well under demanding situations, prioritize and meet deadline
      • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Coordination skills and experience collaborating with offshore teams

      Desired Skills

      • Ability to work independently, with team and with partners/executives at Enterprise level for facilitation of cross-functional practitioner/executive engagement, routines and activities
      • Technical aptitude with understanding of non-technology change as well
      • Knowledge of GIS Standards
      • Ability to acquire new skills autonomously
      • MS Office Proficiency (Excel, Power Point, Word, PowerPoint), including ability to leverage PowerPoint for taking the complex to simplify the message for audiences
