Zendesk is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Data Ingestion team in Poland. Interns can be based remotely or co-located with our office in Krakow. Relocation assistance is not provided. This internship is 12 months long on a full time basis, starting in January 2024.

The internship will focus on building applications, enhancing your skills and give you on-the-job experience to further develop your engineering knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for solving large scale challenges using new technologies and will be willing to work hard by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable.

The Explore team is responsible for implementing an ETL and ingesting Terabytes of data using cutting-edges cloud technologies. As a Software Engineer in the team, you will be responsible for building many key parts of the ingestion service for our reporting and analytics product. Working closely with your team members to craft, develop and deliver reporting products for our customers and high quality software projects on time.

By the end of your internship, you will have learned and built skills that will make you a successful as a Software Engineer:

• Publish well written and tested code to production

• Participate in designing and developing key features and functionality of our data platform

• Investigate production issues and fine-tune our data pipelines

• Continually improve data pipelines for high efficiency, throughput and quality of data

• Collaborate with team members on researching and brainstorming different solutions for technical challenges we face

• Solve sophisticated problems with passion and technical leadership. helping to discover solutions to sophisticated problems

• Develop standard methodologies and mentor others to help make technical decisions on projects

Basic Qualification:

• At the start of the internship, you must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science or related field. Preference will be given to students in their penultimate junior year.

• Coding skills in at least one programming language, and a desire to pick up more. These languages include but are not limited to: Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin or Java

• Must be authorized to work in Poland

• Must be located in Poland for the full duration of the internship

Preferred Qualification:

• Preference will be given to students located near the office in Krakow.

The Poland annualized base salary range for this position is zł104,000.00-zł156,000.00. Please note that while the salary range represents the minimum and maximum base salary rate for this position, the actual compensation offered will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives that will be communicated during the offer stage.
