Who You Are
This position is for a mid-career Modeling & Simulations Software Development Engineer Staff supporting the Mission Systems Roadmaps (MSR) Foundational Technology & Common Systems portfolio. You will perform duties as assigned as a part of the Multi-Domain Enterprise Simulation Architecture (MESA) team within the Engineering & Technology organization. The individual selected will be responsible for working with the MESA team, internal MSR software teams, other cross-functional LM programs, and External Customers to develop, integrate & test, and interface with simulation platforms and training environments. Additionally, there will be opportunities to brief to customer and program technical leadership.
You will be expected to:
• Apply technical expertise to develop and integrate software solutions that may require investigation and critical problem solving
• Candidate will be expected to work with all stakeholders to ensure software compliance and coding best practices
• Ability to shift priorities quickly in alignment with Program and Customer needs
• Must be self-motivated and self-directed with a strong work ethic and time-management
skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive critique and manage interpersonal dynamics
Note: While there could be some flexibility with situational remote work, the unique requirements of this position requires you to be onsite full-time.
Up to 25% travel will be required for this position.
***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.***

aerosystemsswe • Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience in Java on both Windows and Linux OS
• Proficient in Linux command line interface environment
• Experience with Software Integration & Test
• Experience using and enforcing best practices in a code baseline through Software Product Evaluation (SPE), Code Reviews and Design • Experience in Modeling & Simulation
• Experience with Training environments, including Embedded Training and Live Virtual Constructive (LVC)
• Experience integrating software from different teams
• Experience with software and hardware integration in a lab environment
• Experience collaborating with junior engineers
• File server management, VMWare, Gitlab, Atlassian Tool Suite, and/or Kubernetes experience
• Experience and/or certification in Agile/Scrum
• Experience in DevSecOps & Static Code Analysis
• Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Standards Initiative (UCI)
• Experience with Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) Standard
