What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical leadership by translating product requirements into comprehensive architectures and high-level system designs
- Define team objectives and oversee project planning, task assignments, and workload management
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team through recruiting, mentoring, and talent development
- Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of high-quality software, including cloud services and REST APIs
- Collaborate with functional partners to shape product strategy and roadmap
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: college or university degree in a related field
- 7+ years of work experience in a relevant job discipline
- Proven expertise in software design, development, and engineering methodologies
- Strong management and communication skills
- Experience in programming, particularly with Python, and familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Over 10 years of programming expertise with significant experience in the full software development lifecycle
- Background managing engineering teams and technical leadership experience
- Experience leading teams using Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in SQL databases and integration with applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
