      Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

      Software Test Engineer I (Manual)

      Software Test Engineer I

      Cox Automotive is looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to join our TANDEM (Test Data and Environment Management) team. You will work closely with developers to perform software testing and quality assurance to create and execute test cases for the verification of product functionality. Generate API Level Automated Test Scripts using various technologies and tools. Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate. Ability to build effective relationships through partnering and collaboration. Self-motivation, creativity and pro-activeness to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including diverse technologies.

      With guidance, performs standard Software Test duties, including:

      • Working with team members to review requirements, design and associated functional specifications.
      • Participate in our SDLC testing strategy, test data management strategy, and the quality of the supported applications.
      • Follow processes and best practices for testing, as well as manage the lifecycle for any discovered defects.
      • Responsible for developing and executing tests cases.
      • Monitoring non-prod support channel to triage issues.
      • Write, debug and execute code in regression tests.
      • Collaborates with team to drive project delivery.
      • Provides daily project and task status. Escalate blockers appropriately to mitigate risks.
      • Develops an understanding of architectural designs that will support the test data flow.
      • Develops knowledge and ability to analyze business requirements and non-functional requirements to ensure the success of a software development project.
      • Works with workloads, data, different technologies to understand integrations between systems.
      • Familiar with different methods of software testing, such as Unit, Functional, Regression, Integration, Acceptance.
      • Actively participate in agile team activities such as providing input into story sizing, backlog refinement, and release planning.
      • Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

      Technologies We Commonly Use: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Rally, Ruby, New Relic, Splunk, Webdriver, SQL, and AWS.

      Who You Are (Qualifications):

      • You’ve got a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a similar field) and up to 2 years of related experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field.
      • Ability to learn Postman, Rally, SQL.
      • Understanding of usage monitoring and alerting.
      • Proficiency in writing SQL queries is desired.
      • Proficiency with API testing is desired.
