      Job Title: Solutions Consultant – Compounded Medications

      Job Overview: The Clinical Solutions Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving sales of Covetrus' suite of clinical solutions, with a strong focus on compounded medications, to veterinary practices. This individual will partner closely with the Veterinary Relationship Management team to demonstrate the full range of solutions, ensuring the needs of prospective and existing clients are met with tailored recommendations. The Solutions Consultant will be responsible for mastering the breadth of compounded medication solutions, including drug forms, compounded alternatives, and ordering options, and ensuring that veterinary practices are fully equipped with the knowledge and solutions necessary to optimize their medication management processes.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      Discovery Phase of Sales Process:

      · Master the breadth of Covetrus specialty solutions available to veterinary practices, with particular emphasis on compounded medications, including drug forms, compounded alternatives, and ordering options.

      · Support the Veterinary Relationship Management team in qualifying customers by gathering critical information on current medication capabilities, particularly related to compounded medications.

      · Lead discovery sessions to identify customer needs, assess their current solutions, and demonstrate the value of compounded medications to optimize their veterinary practice operations.

      · Act as a subject matter expert in compounded medications, providing consultative advice on solutions that best meet veterinary clinic needs.

      Negotiation Phase of the Sales Process:

      · Understand and respond to both expressed and unexpressed customer needs related to compounded medications and veterinary clinical solutions.

      · Tailor sales interactions to ensure the proposed compounded medication solutions meet the technical, business, and regulatory requirements of the customer.

      · Engage in detailed discussions about state-specific rules and laws regarding compounded medications, ensuring compliance and addressing customer concerns.

      Post-Sales Phase:

      · Build customer profiles that support smooth onboarding and post-sales implementation, especially for customers utilizing compounded medication solutions.

      · Serve in a consultative role during implementation, conveying technical and operational needs specific to the customer’s compounded medication workflows.

      · Provide ongoing support to customers, including upselling additional compounded medication solutions and services.

      · Conduct follow-up presentations, webinars, and training sessions to ensure customers maximize their investment in compounded medication solutions.

      Training and Development:

      · Conduct internal and external presentations and training sessions on Covetrus compounding solutions, both in large and small group settings, to ensure that veterinary teams understand the full range of options available.

      · Train colleagues on specialty sales techniques, best practices for compounded medication solutions, and how to effectively engage with customers during the sales process.

      Territory Planning and Sales Execution:

      · Analyze, create, and execute a territory plan to target new prospects, expanding the customer base and fostering revenue growth in the compounded medication space.

      · Collaborate with existing clients to consult on new solutions, identify opportunities for growth, and drive ongoing revenue expansion.

      Cross-Functional Collaboration:

      · Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to provide feedback on compounded medication solutions, and assist in positioning new releases based on customer needs and industry trends.

      · Stay current with developments in compounded medication rules and regulations within aligned states, ensuring Covetrus solutions remain compliant and competitive.

      · Maintain awareness of competitive products and solutions in the compounded medication space to provide accurate comparisons during client presentations.

      Experience and Qualifications

      · Education: College degree in a related field (business, pharmacy, veterinary science, clinical science, etc.), or equivalent experience.

      · Experience:

      o At least 3 years in a solutions consultant, sales, or related role.

      o At least 5 years of experience in a related business or function within the veterinary or healthcare industry.

      o Strong experience with compounded medications, including drug forms, compounded alternatives, and ordering options for veterinary clinics.

      o Familiarity with state-specific laws and regulations governing compounded medications in veterinary practice.

      o Proven experience conducting sales presentations and training sessions for both internal teams and external clients.

      · Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze and execute a territory plan that targets new business and drives growth in existing accounts.

      · Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify customer pain points and propose effective compounded medication solutions that meet regulatory and business needs.

      · Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and responsibilities simultaneously.

      Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

      However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

      $86,300.00-$123,300.00
