What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Meet or exceed all quarterly sales objectives for the assigned geographical area
- Maintain a significant opportunity pipeline to ensure ongoing growth for the region
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve both short and long-term objectives
- Build key relationships with strategic accounts and distributors, ensuring high levels of customer engagement
- Attend tradeshows and marketing events in the territory to promote products and engage with potential clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with customers and colleagues
- Experience selling optical microscopes or other metrology test equipment strongly preferred
- Highly organized with solid time management and strong multi-tasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Educational requirement: BS in pure or applied sciences (MS or PhD preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience with multi-level sales channels
- Knowledge and experience selling in the academic and industrial markets served by the employer
- Familiarity with microelectronics and semiconductor market knowledge
- Proficient use of CRM tools (SalesForce.com preferred)
- Understanding and experience using Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual selling methodologies
