What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales objectives for the assigned geographical area
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to achieve short and long-term objectives
- Maintain a significant opportunity pipeline to assure ongoing growth for the region
- Build and maintain key relationships with strategic accounts and distributors
- Provide timely information on competitive activities and attend tradeshows and marketing events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS in the pure or applied sciences (MS or PhD preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with customers and colleagues
- Experience selling Optical Microscopes or other Metrology test equipment strongly preferred
- Proficient in using CRM software (SalesForce.com preferred)
- Highly organized with solid time management and strong multi-tasking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Direct experience selling capital equipment
- Knowledge and experience in the academic and industrial markets served by the employer
- Prior experience with multi-level sales channels
- Familiarity with Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual selling methodologies
- Experience in the micro-electronics and semiconductor markets
