      Minimum Qualifications
      Education and Experience
      • High School Diploma or GED.
      • Minimum 6 years of related work experience.
      • Any equivalent combination of certifications, education, or experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities for the position.
      Licenses, Registration, and Certifications
      • Colorado Water Distribution Class 1 Certificate required within 12 months of appointment.
      • Must be able to possess and maintain a valid Class 'R' Colorado driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
      • Must possess a valid Class 'B' Colorado Commercials Driver's License within 12 months of appointment.
      • May be required to possess a valid Class 'A' Colorado Commercial Driver's License within 12 months of appointment.
      • ICS 100,200,700 within 12 months of appointment.

      Job Description

      Position Summary
      The SOS Project Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to assigned staff who execute projects and perform routine maintenance in the raw water collection system. Responsible for planning, permitting, scheduling and coordinating projects and recurring maintenance work. Deliver multiple projects using safe construction practices within schedule and budget requirements. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for project permitting, planning, design, budget, schedule and resource allocation. Assigned staff are dispersed throughout the collection system and may report to a variety of work locations.
      Supervisory Responsibilities
      This position has formal supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
      Essential Duties and Responsibilities
      • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and work schedules. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Allocate resources and assign tasks to team members.
      • Lead and motivate project team to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks. Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members. Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
      • Develop and oversee training programs.
      • Develop and manage project and equipment budgets. Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs stay within the approved budget. Identify and address financial risks. Assist in stakeholder budget development. Ensure labor is accurately reported.
      • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle. Adjust project plans as necessary to minimize impact on project goals. Ensure compliance with Denver Water safety and security procedures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
      • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and any issues. Ensure that stakeholder expectations are managed and met.
      • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
      • Interpret engineering designs, specifications and related contract documents. Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess project progress and quality. Implement corrective actions when necessary.
      • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget. Communicate changes to stakeholders and obtain necessary approvals. Adjust project plans to accommodate approved changes.
      • Conduct project closure activities. Evaluate project outcomes against initial goals and objectives. Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
      • Perform related work as required.
