What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and analyze mergers and acquisitions, policy themes, and antitrust developments from federal and state regulators
- Coordinate coverage of mergers and acquisitions with sector-specific analysts
- Provide forward-looking analysis of unique policy and legal risks and opportunities
- Publish timely and concise research reports on various topics
- Host conference calls and events with subject-matter experts and engage with institutional investors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree plus at least 6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience analyzing, writing, and presenting on public policy and/or legal developments
- Strong ability to communicate complex information effectively in writing and in person
- Prior experience in investment research, government, or private sector roles
- Knowledge of and interest in financial markets
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- JD, MBA, or CFA (or equivalent) credentials
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help build and grow the employer's policy research business
