      Job summary

      The post holder will provide leadership and support for the Delegated Commissioning, Adult Eating Disorder and CAMHS Tier 4 Provider Collaboratives. The post holder's overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support an effective management of a portfolio of specialist services commissioning.

      Main duties of the job

      The post holder will provide professional leadership in the coordination of the Complex care panel at SABP in the preparation and processing of applications for the panel. Complex care funding applications are specific for individuals whose needs are not met by the standard commissioned pathways of care. The Complex care panel will provide clinical expertise to support decision making for complex care treatments and placements.

      The post holder will be responsible for the processing and management of referrals into the Provider Collaboratives. This will include bed finding activities under the guidance of case managers.

      To lead in advising GP practitioners, clinical and provider services on referral pathways and routes to treatment as set out in local commissioning policies and contracts.

      To take a lead in providing effective management and development of the Complex care panel framework including the preparation and circulation of complex care applications and papers for panels and providing assistance to panel members to allow for timely and accurate decision making.

      To have good verbal and non-verbal communication skills and the ability to give detailed information and analysis across the Provider Collaboratives and Delegated Commissioning.

      To support the placement managers to co-ordinate the commissioning of individual care packages against set conditions by the Complex care panel and to support case managers as required.

      To respond flexibly to changes in demands in order for the services to achieve their contractual outcomes and support the Provider Collaboratives and Delegating Commissioning teams DCT to achieve standards and targets.

      To support the teams through the delivery of high standard administrative and data support.

      To deputise for the business support team as required.

      To provide line management and supervision of the business/administration support of the Provider Collaboratives and Delegated Commissioning to ensure effective systems and processes that meet the Provider Collaboratives and Delegated Commissionings requirements.
