      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Advise first and second-year Dow Scholars on academic, career planning, and socio-emotional aspects of their transition to college
      - Develop and supervise a holistic peer mentoring program tailored to the needs of students pursuing STEM majors
      - Assist in the annual recruitment and outreach for new incoming student cohorts
      - Teach sections of a first-year seminar designed to enhance student success skills
      - Manage budget for program initiatives and coordinate academic support services

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Master's degree or equivalent experience in higher education, student affairs, science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
      - Three to five years of experience with intensive cohort-based student support programs and academic advising in higher education
      - Demonstrated competency in workplace technologies including Microsoft Office and student support technology systems
      - Proven commitment to undergraduate student success and excellent communication skills
      - Ability to manage and supervise student staff towards program goals

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of grant or endowment budget management
      - Extensive experience in academic advising within a college or university setting
      - Understanding of undergraduate student success concepts and theories
      - Experience teaching, advising, leading, or mentoring diverse undergraduate students
      - Familiarity with inequitable access to STEM preparation due to pre-college experiences
