      Five Below is seeking a Customs Trade & Compliance Specialist to join our growing Trade and Customs Team. This person will help ensure Five Below Inc.’s adherence to U.S. import compliance regulations and requirements. This position will work cross-functionally with the supply chain and merchandising teams, as well as Product Development, product suppliers, and Customs Brokers. The Specialist will assist with import-related documentation, product classification support, PGA applicability, FTA & GSP review, C-TPAT Program administration, and other risk elements such as ADD/CVD applicability.

      Role can be based in Philadelphia area, or remotely. Travel to headquarters and distribution centers will be required periodically.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Product review and determination of relevant import requirements to ensure compliance with US Customs and Broder Protection (CBP) and Participating Government Agency (PGA) regulations, tariff classification, FTA and GSP eligibility, valuation, country of origin, and denied party screening.
      • Execution of periodic internal audits and discrepancy reporting. Identify and analyze issues with non-compliance and delays with Customs clearance.
      • Cross functional collaboration with merchandising and buying teams to ensure compliant and consistent trade compliance data at item setup.
      • Assist in the development, implementation, improvement and maintenance of trade compliance corporate policies, systems, procedures, and training.
      • Support compliance-related projects/assignments, as needed. (Compliance Manuals and work instructions, FTAs, Focused Assessments, binding ruling requests, PEA, CBP inquiries, etc.)
      • Assist in maintaining US Import Compliance & C-TPAT Manuals
      • Produce metrics and KPI reports as needed
      • Internal Database and Record maintenance for products, HTS, PGA, etc.

      MINIMUM Q ualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred or equivalent experience and training directly related to the role’s responsibilities
      • 3-5 years’ experience in customs brokerage or importer environment.
      • Solid background with product classification under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, including experience with sets and kits. Ability to interpret and apply GRI(s).
      • Trade Programs (FTAs) and/or Generalized System of Preference qualification experience
      • Import Documentation updating and creation
      • Experience communicating and working with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and US Customs

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • Experience in retail industry
      • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or
      • Licensed Customs Broker
      • Experience with Global Trade Management (GTM) software, Bamboo Rose, RMS Oracle
      • Foreign Trade Zone knowledge
      • Experience navigating Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, and ADD/CVD management
      • Strong ACE reporting and data analysis

      SKILLS

      • Ability to change directions quickly and adapt to new situations
      • Excellent oral & written communication. Ability to effectively communicate trade related information to internal and external partners.
      • Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.), especially advanced excel data analysis skills
      • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
      • Ability to make decisions and execute with limited oversight
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills
