      What You’ll Be Doing:

      Our Leave Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the leave administration programs at Evolent. They actively engage in day-to-day administration and ensure compliance with our leave, disability, and accommodation-related programs. As a critical link between our organization and leave management vendors, they consult with employees and managers regarding leave of absence policies and processes. Additionally, they provide dedicated support to individuals on leave or those requiring accommodations.

      Collaboration Opportunities:

      Leave Specialists work in close collaboration with Payroll, the Talent Team, and third-party vendors to effectively administer all leave programs.

      Responsibilities:

      • Providing information and guidance to employees and managers related to state, federal, and company sponsored leave and accommodation benefits.
      • Managing and escalating complex cases appropriately for guidance, including but not limited to issues related to system processing, leave pay discrepancies, employee feedback and vendor escalations.
      • Reviewing the accuracy of leave related payments in a timely manner and resolving discrepancies.
      • Collaborating on ADA accommodation requests.
      • Assisting with Workers Comp claims.
      • Coordinating processes for leave, disability, and absence management programs to ensure appropriate risk management, cost control and compliance.
      • Assisting in identifying areas for LOA and disability process improvement opportunities and contributing to the development and definition of standards for new Leave Administration processes.
      • Participating in the design and promotion of our Leave Administration offerings by creating communications for our company newsletter, internal web site, and for open enrollment.
      • Performing other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications - Required and Preferred:

      • Bachelor’s degree – Required
      • 3+ years of experience in integrated absence management in a multi-state setting. – Required
      • Advanced knowledge of federal and state leave laws, specifically, the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and State Paid Family Medical Leaves (PFML). – Required
      • In-depth understanding paid disability programs, particularly Short-term Disability (STD) and Long-term Disability (LTD). – Required
      • Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to deeply understand client and employee needs, engage empathetically, and proactively solve problems.
      • Strong analytical thinking skills, enabling assessment of compliance issues and identification of root causes. - Perferred
      • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.- Perferred
      • Experience with Workday Leave Management and Payroll portals- Perferred
      • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, encompassing strong oral and written communication abilities. - Perferred
      • Capable of communicating potentially detailed and complex information to others with tact and empathy.- Perferred
      • Unwavering commitment to confidentiality and discretion.- Perferred
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Perferred

      Technical Requirements:

      We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

      The expected base salary/wage range for this position is $60,000-$65,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees. All compensation determinations are based on the skills and experience required for the position and commensurate with experience of selected individuals, which may vary above and below the stated amounts.
