We are looking for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Deafness and schools team in Waltham forest, depending on experience and preference we can also provide opportunities in our pre school pathway.

Main duties of the job
Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families.
As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in the community, schools and within the clinic setting at Wood Street health Centre.
This role is working with deaf pre school and school aged children in a provision. You will be working alongside Teachers of the Deaf and will create links with the audiology team.
You will be working within our well-established, supportive and dynamic s team, there will also be opportunities for sessions within our pre-school team depending on preference and experience. In your allocated schools you will provide assessments including EHCP's as well delivering intervention and training to upskill school staff.
About us
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of15% of basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 and maximum of £5,735, pro rata for part time staff
