What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze, maintain, and optimize the database environment to ensure 99.9% availability and data integrity
- Update database architecture, build schemas, tables, stored procedures, and manage permissions
- Provide recommendations on policies, procedures, and emerging technologies
- Monitor systems for availability and oversee database mirroring, replication, and failover
- Generate queries and reports using SQL Management Studio and other SQL server tools

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration
- Strong proficiency in database administration and performance tuning
- Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Effective communication and collaboration skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies
- Relevant certifications such as MongoDB, AWS, or Azure certifications
- Familiarity with SAFe/Agile Software Development methodologies
- Experience in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment
- Ability to obtain government clearance
