About the job:

Excellent full-time opportunity for a SQL Developer working on a large-scale SQL Server environment. Your primary role will be to write and maintain reports against our data warehouse using SQL, SSRS, SSMS, and Visual Studio. You will also help maintain the reporting and data warehouse environment. This includes optimizing SQL code and creating, re-structuring, archiving, and purging tables as needed to improve server performance.

Responsibilities:

• Developing tabular, web based, and graphical reports in Visual Studio using SSRS.
• Creating complex SQL queries that involve multiple tables, databases, and linked servers.
• Optimizing existing stored procedures to improve performance.
• Creating tables, views, clustered & non-clustered indexes, and user defined functions.
• Troubleshooting database performance issues, bottlenecks, and errors.
• Creating SQL jobs that aggregate and maintain large-scale data to be used by reports.
• Creating and maintaining data sets for the software development team.
• Performing data analyses to identify data quality issues and compose data cleansing plans.
• Learning, understanding, and utilizing our datasets to efficiently meet business needs and the requests of our many system users.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in CIS/MIS or related field and/or certification in SQL related technologies (depending on the coursework included).
• Knowledge of relational database design and architecture.
• Proven experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing SSRS reports.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic, data-centric environment.
• Excellent at interpreting and analyzing data.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
