Zurich is currently looking for a Sr. Captive Account Manager for our Fronting & Captives Solution team in our North American HQ in Schaumburg, Chicago, or New York office.

Our Sr. Captive Account Manager works in conjunction with various departments within the organization, facilitates the administration of the various captive insurance solutions and is a subject matter expert and is responsible for:

• Manage account captive referral process to ensure internal guidelines and timelines have been met pursuant to the quote date expectations
• Manage the post bind captive operational process which includes verification of the deal bound and ensure internal guidelines have been met with any post work required with actuary, credit risk and communication to the Reinsurance Accounting operations team
• Manage captive agreements process to execution pursuant to the internal timeline guidelines. This may include discussion with captive managers, brokers, internal and external legal team members.
• Make independent decisions pursuant to internal guidelines and maintains proper documentation
• Collaborates, consults, and provides expert counsel and guidance to underwriters and customers on program structures
• Participate/lead projects as needed contributes to process improvement and innovation
• Participate/Lead develop training which includes the development of the material to delivery, which may include paper documentation to virtual or in person presentation
• Market facing presence
• Comply with external and internal governance, regulatory policies, and procedures
• Business Travel, as required

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Insurance area (Underwriting, or Account Management)
  OR
• Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Insurance area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree with 5 or more years of insurance industry experience
• Advanced knowledge of captives & reinsurance program structures
• Project Management experience
• Strong customer orientation mindset
• Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of loss sensitive programs
• Ability to be an effective team player
• Ability to understand, explain and resolve complex insurance issues
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of products, advanced in excel and PPT
• Experience working with international accounts

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Compensation may exceed the salary listed based on the evaluation of skillset and experience. The starting salary range for the position is: $114,300.00 - $178,600.00.
