      About You:

      You bring over 15 years of professional experience as a Cloud Network Engineer or in a similar role, with extensive expertise in Google Cloud Platform technologies. Your deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure—encompassing VPCs, ACLs, GKE, and GCE—enables you to design and operate scalable distributed systems with ease. You excel in Kubernetes, with hands-on experience in GKE, Helm, and various K8S technologies. Your proficiency in Linux, Git, Terraform, and scripting languages like Python or Bash supports your ability to create robust, automated solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment, adept at juggling multiple tasks while maintaining strong problem-solving and communication skills. Your understanding of cloud security principles and practices, along with experience in cloud migration and application modernization, makes you an invaluable asset to any team.

      Responsibilities

      • Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure systems using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GCP Networking technologies.

      • Collaborate with application DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with platform infrastructure.

      • Guide application teams in building, testing, deploying, and running cloud-native applications, ensuring adherence to best practices.

      • Develop automated processes and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

      • Implement and maintain robust security measures to uphold compliance and platform integrity.

      • Optimize and monitor platform performance, proactively addressing any issues or bottlenecks.

      • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related challenges in collaboration with support teams and stakeholders.

      Qualifications:

      • 10+ years professional experience as Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or similar role

      • Extensive professional experience with GCP technologies

      • Preferred Cloud Knowledge:

        • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms & infrastructure technologies such as VPCs, ACLs, GKE, & GCE

      • Preferred K8S Technologies:

        • GKE, Helm, K8S Controllers, K8S Operators

      • Preferred Network Technologies:

        • VPC, DNS, Interconnects, PSC (Private Service Connect), CloudArmor, Firewalls / Secure Tag, NCC, PGA / PSA (Private Google Access / Private Service Access), VPN, Load Balancing, Network Observability & Monitoring, Network Security

      • Preferred Security Technologies:

        • VPC SC, IAM,

      • Proven Experience with designing, developing, & running distributed systems at scale,

      • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, Infrastructure-as-Code & Cloud Security principles & practices

      • Tools

        • Proficient with Linux, Git, Terraform, and scripting languages such as python or bash

      • Additional Skills

        • Ability to design, review, develop, & operate systems that can be used at scale

        • Strong problem-solving & troubleshooting skills

        • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment

        • Ability to work asynchronously and juggle multiple tasks

      The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
