      Position Summary

      As the Senior Compensation Partner at SARC/ACL, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing new and revised compensation programs, policies, and procedures. Your work will be crucial in aligning these with the company's goals and competitive practices, and in motivating top talent in a highly competitive technology and research industry. You will also ensure that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

      Role and Responsibilities

      • Compensation Strategy Development:
        • Lead and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy aligned with the overall business objectives of SARC/ACL.
        • Maintain cutting edge education and knowledge related to world class compensation practices.
        • Lead on recommending annual improvements to compensation and total rewards programs.
        • Provide indepth data analysis and well thought out insights and recommendations to senior management for developing and adjusting compensation strategies.
      • Compensation Program Management:
        • Design, implement, and manage various compensation programs including base salary structures, variable pay plans, and incentive programs.
        • Monitor the application and effectiveness of compensation programs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure they attract, motivate, and retain talent.
        • Lead and collaborate with Shared Services to ensure biweekly employee Payroll is processed accurately and efficiently.
      • Market Analysis and Benchmarking:
        • Participate and complete industry-based market survey as required throughout the year.
        • Conduct regular internal and external benchmarking and market analysis to assess the competitiveness of the organization’s compensation and benefits packages.
        • Utilize external market data and industry surveys to make informed recommendations.
      • Job Evaluation and Classification
        • Partner with Head of People Team, senior leadership and hiring managers to evaluate roles and develop job grading and leveling frameworks.
        • Evaluate new and existing roles within the organization to determine appropriate job classifications and salary ranges.
        • Ensure internal equity and consistency in job evaluations across the organization.
      • Performance Management Integration:
        • Collaborate with people business partners and management teams as needed to ensure integration of compensation philosophies and practices across all annual people programs and processes.
        • Link compensation outcomes with individual and team performance to drive industry competitive performance excellence.
      • Compliance and Reporting:
        • Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
        • Prepare regular reports and presentations on compensation metrics, trends, and analysis for management and stakeholders.
        • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and prepare reports and disclosures as necessary.
      • Communication and Education:
        • Build programs and content to broaden the education of managers and employees about compensation and benefits programs, policies, and guidelines.
        • Provide guidance and support to managers on compensation-related matters including job offers, promotions, and salary adjustments.

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
      • 10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits management, preferably in a technology or research environment.
      • Strong self-initiative and abiliy to work autonomously.
      • Strong collaboration and ability to synthesize multiple, diverse perspectives.
      • Strong knowledge, experience and application with WorkDay
      • Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis and benchmarking.
      • Superior knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
      • Superior knowledge of compensation practices, job evaluation methodologies, and market analysis techniques.
      • Deep experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and compensation management tools is preferred.
      • Excellent ability to translate philosophies into actions for managers.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across leadership levels and diverse teams.
      • Excellent presentation skills.
      • Certification such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus.

      Total Rewards

      At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,057 and $237,770. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

      Samsung employees have access to benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), free onsite lunch, employee purchase program, tuition assistance (after 6 months), paid time off, student loan program, wellness incentives, and many more. In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.

      Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
