What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide legal and business advice for a broad range of commercial and operational agreements
- Work directly with key decision-makers in contract negotiations and business arrangements
- Support the Company’s international operations by identifying and mitigating legal risks
- Monitor contract covenants, expirations, and renewals, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to streamline the contract lifecycle process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with excellent academic credentials and a license to practice in California or registered as In-House Counsel in California
- 10+ years of relevant legal experience with complex commercial transactions, including at least 2 years in-house experience with a medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech company
- Significant experience and knowledge of contract law
- Familiarity with the federal False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Food Drug and Cosmetic Act
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to operate independently
