- Lead demand/supply inventory management team and drive inventory related decision making.
- Lead the purchasing team in analyzing inventory trends and make suggestions to prioritize, expedite or delay open supplier PO’s.
- Inventory and excess management of Finished Goods & Raw Materials.
- SKU Rationalization, partner with Sales and Product team.
- Execute inventory planning and optimization and define operational goals for inventory management.
- Develop demand and replenishment forecasts for domestic (wholesale/retail) and international sales annually, including key accounts and private label management.
- Measure inventory accuracy and determine root cause analysis behind the variances as well as communicate and take corrective action.
- Build accurate demand forecasts for seasonal new launches and replenishment SKUs.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies that accommodate end of life inventory management across all sales channels.
- Incorporate modeling, situation analysis, problem diagnosis, and operations analysis to support business decision-making with financial analysis.
- Translate sales and demand plan into planning and supply replenishment strategies.
- Manage the planning processes (end to end) and KPI’s related to the planning team.
- Serve as a change agent for process improvement initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders globally, including Sales, Operations, Merchandising/Product, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership.
- Communicate effectively across the global organization to ensure alignment on Demand and Supply Planning priorities and objectives.
- Coach, develop, and manage a remote team and maintain a team work culture that encourages the success of its members.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain modeling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Effective relationship builder across multiple geographies and cultures.
- Success leading diverse teams (as a manager) both directly and cross-functionally.
- Deadline-driven with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong change management skills with the ability to lead through growth (inclusive of system implementations and reorganizations).
- Critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent project management and strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in Forecasting/Planning.
- Related experience in Procurement or Purchasing is a plus.
- Proven working knowledge of offshore supply, logistics and planning.
- Experience leading and managing analytics and tactical operational teams.
- Experience with the upstream and downstream of supply chain processes.
- Highly proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel is a MUST!

The Sr. Director, Demand and Inventory Planning will lead Kindthread’s demand and supply inventory optimization efforts. You’ll have a deep understanding of demand planning processes, supply chain dynamics, and inventory management principles. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure the efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers while balancing inventory levels. You will partner with our Sales, Merch and Production/Procurement team to create inventory plans designed to manage the timely receipt of inventory and order management activities to meet customer needs.
