What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company objectives
- Conduct market research and present findings to guide marketing efforts
- Manage and support the preparation of documentation for Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Negotiate and close agreements with clients, ensuring satisfaction and promoting additional business
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; or relevant experience
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing with construction knowledge
- Documented track record for closing construction deals and managing accounts
- Proven leadership experience in a professional services sales organization larger than $200M
- Firm understanding of public construction procurement in PA, MD, WV, and VA
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience leading school boards and administrators in project objectives
- Past involvement with public agencies on major facilities projects
- Prior public speaking experience, particularly with PA public school boards
