What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interface with and assist outside counsel on intellectual property matters
- Track deadlines and ensure timely responses to all patent-related deadlines
- Review and ensure accuracy of entries in the IP docketing database
- Coordinate filing of new US/PCT patent applications and manage filing formal documents
- Assist the Paralegal Manager with various projects, including portfolio audits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of substantive patent prosecution experience at a law firm or in-house
- Strong knowledge of docketing procedures and hands-on experience with docketing tools
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Paralegal certificate and relevant work experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Trademark experience is a plus
- Experience with Anaqua or similar docketing systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Structured thinking abilities and strong organizational skills
