You can be a part of developing and launching creative services critical in the legal community using cutting-edge technologies to organize and persist content while collaborating closely with multiple technical and business partners throughout Thomson Reuters.       About the Role

      As a Software Engineer team member, you will:

      • Perform product design, system analysis, and implement necessary software changes and enhancements.
      • Contribute to the security, scalability, and performance of our systems.
      • Collaborate with the team’s Software Engineers and Analysts, as well as across teams, to establish requirements and develop solutions.
      • Assist Analysts in researching reported issues, verifying bugs, and testing changes for release.
      • Document bugs, fixes, and enhancements in the applicable tracking systems.
      • Work both independently, and as part of a development team, on various projects of varying size and scope concurrently.
      • This position requires an individual who can successfully work in a dynamic environment where priorities change based on evolving business needs. Deadline driven project assignments require a motivated professional with excellent adaptability and communication skills.

      About You

      You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

      • Bachelors/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
      • 3+ years of professional development experience
      • Programing languages: Java, Python, Groovy
      • AWS Services: ECS, SQS, Lambda, API gateway, Codepipeline, s3, kinesis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, RDS, ElasticSearch
      • Databases: SQL (postgres) / NoSql (AWS dynamoDB), flyway
      • Frameworks - Spring boot, FastAPI, REST API
      • Docker, GitHub, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy
      • Writing Unit and Integration tests
      • Design patterns, microservice patterns
      • Angular front-end skills (prefer modern Angular to AngularJS)
      • Experience working in an agile environment
      • Ability to communicate complex problems
      • Eagerness to solve problems on a daily basis
      • Willingness to collaborate and work in teams, be a team player
      • Constant learning attitude and growth mindset
      • Ensuring work is error-free, factual, and reliable by sticking to established guidelines
      • Being passionate about technology, innovation and challenging tasks
      • Being an empatetic listener, ability to understand others and being flexible
      • Highly organized with strict adherence to deadlines
      • Diligent in understanding client concerns and generating high quality software
