As a Senior Structures Engineer, you'll be responsible for key components of the spacecraft, from structural design to innovative heat shields. This role offers the rare opportunity to work on clean-sheet designs, rapid prototyping, and full Earth-return projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead spacecraft structure designs, from concept through testing, for primary and secondary structures, including heat shields.

Perform FEA analysis and ensure structural integrity across all design phases.

Optimize designs for manufacturability with creative, mass-saving solutions.

Oversee testing campaigns, evaluating results to drive future iterations.

Work with complex mechanical systems, with consideration for packaging, thermal, and environmental influences.

Your Expertise:

FEA mastery with tools like FEMAP/NASTRAN.

CAD and PLM proficiency.

Hands-on experience across design, build, and flight phases of mechanical systems.

Deep knowledge of electromechanical components—motors, valves, servos.

5+ years of experience in mechanical or electromechanical design.

Bonus Skills:

Experience with re-entry vehicles.

Expertise in both thermal and structural FEA analysis.

Proficiency in machining and manufacturing techniques.
