      Role Overview

      The Senior Manager, Insights Enablement, will guide a team of professionals to develop and implement strategies that unlock the full potential of our business intelligence capabilities. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by ensuring that the Business Intelligence teams have the tools, support, and best practices needed to deliver meaningful insights.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Leadership & Strategy:

        • Manage multiple teams focused on insights enablement.

        • Lead the definition of KPIs, roadmaps, and priorities to drive impactful business intelligence efforts.

      • Cross-functional Collaboration:

        • Work with stakeholders to align technical strategies and manage dependencies.

        • Establish shared prioritization of deliverables that span multiple teams.

      • Ongoing Support & Best Practices:

        • Develop and disseminate best practices for BI functions.

        • Focus on unlocking the discoverability of LookML models, Explores, dashboards, and other BI content in Looker.

        • Provide training and ongoing support to ensure effective change management and adoption of BI tools.

        • Design, develop, and deploy foundational LookML models and Looker dashboards per domain, piloting the framework and then creating a knowledge transfer process back to each domain owner.

        • Design, develop, and deploy Explorer Assistant experiences off foundational domain Analytics LookML models, piloting the framework and then creating a knowledge transfer process back to each domain owner.

        • Create and implement an enterprise operating model for LookML / Looker content creation.

        • Develop templates to support engineering standards for LookML development and deployment.

        • Plan and execute the consolidation and migration of existing dashboards to Looker in the future.

        • Create an enterprise operating model for metadata content creation.

        • Design templates to support engineering standards for metadata development and deployment.

        • Design, develop, and deploy foundational metadata collection, piloting the framework and then creating a knowledge transfer process back to each domain owner.

        • Create a plan on how to gather metadata from current documentation and apply it to new GCP tooling.

      • Team Development:

        • Hire, mentor, and develop a capable and motivated team that can deliver insights swiftly and predictably, adjusting in an agile fashion to meet business needs.

      • Technical Excellence:

        • Contribute to architecture, coding, test plans, project plans, deployment planning, and operations to drive excellence. Employ continuous improvement methodologies within the team.

      • Organizational Vision:

        • Enhance the vision and strategy to support company goals, with guidance from senior leaders.

      Qualifications

      • Experience:

        • 7+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in managing teams. Experience managing other managers is a plus.

      • Education:

        • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.

      • Technical Skills:

        • Proven track record of delivering well-designed BI systems, built for scale and performance. Experience with Cloud technologies, such as GCP, is a plus.

      • Best Practices & Agile Development:

        • Good understanding of BI best practices, alerting, monitoring, A/B testing, and production support. Experience with agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or Kanban.

      Pay Range Details

      The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

      California: $162,000 - $297,000 Annually, Colorado: $162,000 - $252,500 Annually, Connecticut: $162,000 - $297,000 Annually, District of Columbia: $191,000 - $297,000 Annually, Hawaii: $162,000 - $252,500 Annually, Nevada: $162,000 - $252,500 Annually, New York: $162,000 - $297,000 Annually, Rhode Island: $162,000 - $252,500 Annually, Washington: $162,000 - $297,000 Annually
