Job Description
Sr. Manager, Product Management
The Sr. Manager, Product Management is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Product Management to support our Search, Browse, and Navigation digital experiences. Nordstrom customers want to be inspired while searching and browsing our websites and apps, looking to easily discover the best, most relevant products, services, and content that Nordstrom has to offer. The discovery landscape is constantly changing, with customer expectations, technology, and discovery experiences evolving. We aim to provide a digital discovery experience that inspires, connects, builds trust, and provide customers confidence in their choice, similar to how we’ve done in stores over the years, building the legacy of great customer service. The Sr. Manager of Product Manager for this space will be responsible for developing a vision and strategy focused on how customers find products, services, and content in our digital properties, and then supporting and evolving a product management team to deliver on that vision.
Nordstrom customers love to search and browse on our websites and apps, allowing them to easily discover the best, most relevant products, services and content from Nordstrom. But the product discovery landscape is constantly changing: customer expectations go up, technology improves, and new discovery experiences evolve. In addition, our catalog is dynamic, soon changing to a large marketplace. Given all of these dynamics, what are the kinds of digital discovery experiences that will inspire the same customer loyalty that Nordstrom and Rack stores inspire? How can Nordstrom distinguish itself as the best way to find new products and inspire customer confidence? The Senior Manager, Search Product Management owns answering these questions through developing a vision and strategy focused on how customers find products, services and content, and then building a product management team to deliver on the vision and strategy. Key components of delivery include enrichment data critical to discovery, internal workflows that enable efficient merchandising, and core customer experiences around keyword search, browse, and navigation across all of our digital storefronts.
