Creation, initiation, and execution of a high-level Business Development strategy focused on increasing Personal Banking solutions to high-net-worth business owner clients and prospects
Manage a client portfolio of over 50MM in assets and lending with CWB Financial Group, as well as responsible for developing and enhancing/expanding existing relationships with high net-worth client
Responsible for proactive sourcing and management of new business opportunities including identifying opportunities for integration with other CWB (Canadian Western Bank) business Lines, specifically Commercial and Wealth Management
Cultivates an active network of Centre of Influence (COI) to generate referral business
Ensure regular banking centre activities with the Commercial Relationship Managers, by referrals or joint client meetings, to identify opportunities with clients including a comprehensive suite of personal products and services for the principals of the businesses, their families, and their employees.
Proactively recognize referral opportunities to CWB Partners, additionally participate in business development activities outside of CWB to generate business and enhance CWB’s image with clients, the industry, and the community.
Ensure the safety of the Bank’s funds through proper loan portfolio management focusing on loan quality, exposure limits, and security requirements.
Diploma/Degree in related field
Personal Financial Planner (PFP®) or commitment to acquire a PFP designation within [36] months is required
Minimum 8+ years banking experience and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of retail lending.
Minimum 3+ years experience in providing advice and solutions to ultra and high net-worth clients
Commercial banking experience is an asset
Proven experience in business development activities specific to marketing, sales and relationship management
Former Private Banking experience as an asset
Deep knowledge of all banking products & services for both personal and business clients.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong ability to resolve conflict and objection handling skills.
Ability to communicate effectively using the tools vital, engaging the audience to ensure the message is delivered and understood, crafting a positive first impression with confidence and respect.

The opportunity
Proactively develop, manage, retain and grow full-service relationships with high-net worth clients and prospects. This role is a key part of our commercial banking team reporting directly into the AVP & Deputy Manager and works collaboratively with CWB Wealth to develop and execute a united client acquisition and management strategy while maintaining adherence to the banks' risk appetite. Assists in the design, development and delivery of solutions that meet the client’s complex personalized needs. Works collaboratively with all specialized partners within CWBFG to identify opportunities.Areas of focus
