Amazon is hiring a Senior Program Manager for the Global Accounts Payable Financial Operations Services team to support Corporate Accounts Payable processes for Latin America (LATAM). Amazon businesses are growing and expanding at a rapid pace resulting in a dynamic work environment with many opportunities. This coupled with the ever-evolving regulatory landscape makes this a very exciting and challenging space.
This position is the front line of our program driving global improvements and initiatives within Accounts Payable Financial Operations Services procure to pay processes. You will help map end-to-end processes for LATAM with a view to identify opportunities for standardization and/or extending technology to improve efficiencies.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner, and will have the ability to efficiently manage various high-priority, cross-functional projects with leadership visibility that will allow Amazon to scale. This candidate will also be able to perform analysis and interpret data to demonstrate the benefits being delivered with the proposed manual/technical solutions.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and will diligently perform the following responsibilities on a consistent basis
• Lead the strategic direction of the AP teams based on internal and industry knowledge, especially within LATAM
• Responsible for developing and communicating team or department vision and goals for LATAM in alignment with Global goals
• Leveraging industry experience to identify process standardization opportunities leveraging process mapping
• Work on onboarding new businesses and support geographic expansions for the suite of services provided by Finance Operation Services
• Partner with Finance Business Services teams to deliver on shared goals and projects in support of the relevant business teams
• Participate in monthly Operations/Project reviews with leadership in support of services being provided for
• Partner closely with the Technology teams to identify post business launch enhancements necessary for Finance Operations Services to scale with the business initiative.
• Drive continuous improvement in the process which support through close partnership with the Finance Operational Excellence team
• Developing, modifying and maintaining operational and design effectiveness of internal controls
• Lead cross functional systems and process improvement initiatives
• Demonstrate advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
