      The Senior Scrum Master provides leadership, guidance and coaching to their teams. Responsible for facilitating a cross functional agile collaborative team in iterative technology development. Provides leadership, guidance and coaching to other Scrum Masters.

      Develop and manage detailed project plans and manage all implementation processes including scope, schedule budget/resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery

      Remove impediments that hinder project progress

      Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and iteration meetings

      Monitor the progress of the sprint

      Help teams estimate iteration deliverables

      Manage development tracking system to include product and sprint backlogs

      Promote continuous communication

      Monitor and help improving team dynamics

      Motivate and act as the glue that holds the team together

      Subject Matter Expert for agile methodologies and practices

      Act as a Release Manager for projects involving multiple scrum teams; manage dependencies between assigned scrum team and third parties or between assigned scrum team and other scrum teams

      Generate process reports; maintain relevant metrics that will allow teams and management to evaluate how the project is progressing
      Partner with the product owner for release planning and backlog maintenance

      Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values; drive best practices in the use of the Agile methodology; establish and manage Agile governance structures, when necessary

      Job Specifications

      Typically has the following skills or abilities:

      Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

      Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I), preferred (CSP, PSM II)

      4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, project manager or technical lead within a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory

      Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous burndown techniques, numerous retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc)

      Creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving skills

      Ability to develop a positive working relationship with peers and management

      Strong business aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills

      Excellent communication and mentoring skills

      Proven ability to navigate complex situations through organizational landscape and with multiple stakeholders

      Experience with other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc

      Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

      Ability to regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.

      Preferred Skills:

      • Experience as a Business Analyst, Project Management, and Product Ownership is nice to have

      • Strong leadership experience with driving Value Stream Mapping sessions to visualize and optimize end-to-end delivery workflows

      • Proficient in backlog management, including prioritization, item readiness, and leading refinement sessions to ensure delivery preparedness

      • Hands-on experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), managing multiple cross-functional teams and coordinating related release activities

      • Working knowledge of UML and ability to develop comprehensive UML diagrams, including use case, class, sequence, and activity diagrams

      • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and similar tools to manage sprint reporting, workflow configuration, issue transitions, and dashboard development

      Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. As a part of the compensation package, this role may include eligible bonuses and commissions.       Salary Ranges: $63,000.00 - $108,675.00
